Introducing Our New Trophy Chair, Brian Rudyk

The Alberta Wildlife Federation is proud to introduce our new Trophy Chair, Brian Rudyk.

Brian is a dedicated and lifelong Albertan who grew up in a family passionate about hunting and fishing. He was raised with a deep appreciation for wild game, and cherishes the tradition of processing big game, birds, and fish. Brian’s parents were instrumental in sharing their hunting and angling knowledge, introducing many new participants to these valued outdoor pursuits. They were active members of the Two Hills Fish and Game Association. They supported his involvement with the Narrow Lake Conservation Centre and other conservation efforts. Today, along with his spouse, children, and grandchildren, he continues these family traditions and beliefs as an active member of the Alberta Wildlife Federation.

Over the years, Brian has been involved in sharing knowledge and promoting outdoor lifestyles in our province. He was part of the development group, and one of the first to pilot the Wildlife Curriculum in Alberta high schools. He was a past president of the Athabasca Fish and Game Association, formerly the Hunting Chair of the Alberta Wildlife Federation, and Zone 5. Brian has been an instructor for the Alberta Conservation Hunter Education Program for over 40 years, and the Canadian Firearms Safety Course since its inception. He is the official measurer for Alberta Fish and Game, Boone and Crockett, Pope and Young, Alberta Bowhunters Association, Safari Club International, and Buckmasters. He is the current president of the Narrow Lake Conservation Centre.

As a proud promoter and supporter of an outdoor lifestyle, the new Trophy Chair brings a wealth of experience and passion to his role. The Alberta Wildlife Federation looks forward to his contributions and leadership in this capacity.
